With its classic beauty and elegance, white portland cement concrete is the material of choice for use in architectural concrete.

Although white portland cement concrete is most often used for aesthetic purposes, it can also provide enhanced performance in other ways: lower energy costs, lower maintenance costs and safety, because of light reflectivity.

There are only small differences between gray portland cement and white portland cement. The goal is to minimize the amount of iron and manganese that gives the grayish color to portland cement. Because of the raw material differences and slight differences in manufacturing, white portland cement behaves somewhat like high early strength cement (C 150 Type III), with this in mind it is recommended that a set stabilizer be used when placing white portland cement concrete.

Paramount Ready Mix Concrete can provide consistent, superior white portland cement concrete mixes through proper material storage and handling, concrete mixing, and equipment maintenance.
